Product Spotlight: Kangertech e-Smart Clearomizer

The growing popularity of electronic cigarettes can be attributed to not only the wide selection of flavored e-juices available, but also to the user’s ability to completely customize their setup with their choice of equipment. Since clearomizers hold and vaporize the liquid inside to simulate your smoking experience, choosing the right one is essential when you’re setting up your device.

kangertech e-smart clearomizer
Since 2007, Kangertech has been focusing on invention and innovation to create high quality vaping products, including the Kangertech e-Smart Clearomizer. Plastic and disposable, this clearomizer is a replacement piece for the Kanger e-Smart 808D-1 threaded e-cig, but is also compatible with other kinds of setups as well. Like all other clearomizers, this device is clear, allowing for you to monitor exactly how much liquid is left in the container.

This device features a 1.3mL tank with threaded mouthpiece and top coil design that is easy to fill and creates huge, warm clouds of vapor. To fill, simply unscrew the mouthpiece and fill the outer portion with the e-liquid of your choice. The Kangertech clearomizer has a center tube for airflow, so take care to not drop any liquid inside when you’re refilling. Although the piece is small and convenient to travel with, given its size, it is recommended that you use a syringe or something similar for less mess when you’re refilling the tank. Replace the mouthpiece, let the wick absorb the liquid for up to 3 minutes and puff away!

This clearomizer is sold separately and also comes included in the Kangertech e-Smart Kit, which is great if you’re just starting out or want to cut down on the hassle of acquiring separate pieces.

Disposable vs. Rechargeable E-Cigs

Both disposable electronic cigarettes and rechargeable electronic cigarettes have their benefits and drawbacks. While rechargeable e-cigs are more common, many e-smokers do prefer disposable e-cigs. We’ve compiled a list of the pros and cons of each type to help you figure out which is right for you.

Rechargeable E-Cigs

Pros – Generally, rechargeable e-cigarettes perform better, last longer, and provide more e-liquid options. These types of e-cigs were designed to be recharged and used over and over, so the e-cig itself provides an excellent smoking experience and is more durable, so they can be used for long periods of time – very environmentally friendly! Rechargeable e-cigs also give users more freedom to customize their vaping experience. There are countless e-liquid flavors you can try, plus different strengths of nicotine. Finally, while the initial cost can be expensive, you’ll end up saving money in the long run by choosing a rechargeable c-cigarette.

Cons – As mentioned, the cost of purchasing your first e-cig can be high. Starter kits range from $30 to $70, with high quality and more advanced models running at an even higher cost. You also have to keep buying new e-liquid (which is fairly cheap, but can be considered a hassle) and eventually new parts and batteries. Additionally, you’ll have to be sure to keep re-charging the e-cig in order to be able to use it.

Disposable E-Cigs

Pros – Disposable e-cigarettes are cheap, simple and convenient. Available via most electronic cigarette companies and at gas stations, smoke shops, at grocery stores, disposable e-cigs’ biggest advantage is their ready availability. Disposable e-cigs also are meant to be disposed of after use, so you never have to worry about charging them or buying replacements parts. Additionally, disposable e-cigs have a much lower upfront cost and can be purchase for about $5 to $10 (each one is equal to one to two packs of cigarettes). When you aren’t ready to commit to buying any specific e-cig, disposable e-cigarettes are a great solution.

Cons – While the upfront cost of disposable e-cigs is cheaper than rechargeable e-cigs, over time it will be more costly. Additionally, most disposable electronic cigarettes do not provide as strong of a performance as rechargeable e-cigs, and are much more limited in flavor, nicotine and design options. While disposable e-cigs provide a fine vaping experience, they are generally of a lower quality than rechargeable e-cigs.

When you’re looking for a quick-fix or want to experiment with different brands and types of e-cigs, disposable electronic cigarettes are the way to go. If you want the best vaping experience possible and you’d like to be able to choose from a wide variety of flavors, rechargeable e-cigarettes are the best option. Whether you’re searching for disposable or rechargeable e-cigs, e-liquids, or replacement parts, you can find all the vaping products you need at Lite Cig USA.

Troubleshooting Common e-Cig Problems

While electronic cigarettes have an edge over traditional cigarettes – no lingering odor, less harmful chemicals, and you can use them virtually anywhere – they do take some maintenance to keep them running smoothly. Several working parts go into making an e-cig operate and you might find yourself running into some mechanical trouble when using it that can impact your vaping experience. To help you identify and correct whatever issues you may have, we have compiled a brief guide of common problems with e-cigs and how to fix them, so your setup can continue operating at the peak of its performance.

Not feeling the nicotine – If you’re not getting a buzz off of your e-cig, you might want to increase the level of nicotine in your e-liquid. Most e-liquids are available with varying nicotine content, so you can choose the one that gives you a more enjoyable smoke. If your device is too weak to deliver a good hit, use a powerful voltage device and make sure your clearomizer has an active coil that vaporizes the e-juice most effectively.

If you’re new to vaping, you might just not be using it right if you’re not feeling the nicotine. Take long, slow draws into your mouth and then slowly draw it into your lungs to feel the maximum effect.

Weak vapor – You might notice that your e-cig is producing significantly less vapor than before, which may be due to a weakening device. Batteries die out over time, so try getting a more powerful replacement battery to remedy the problem. Also, look for a high VG content in the PG/VG ratio when buying e-liquid – the thicker consistency of vegetable glycerin tends to produce thicker vapor.
You should take care to clean your device on a regular basis and if you notice nothing else wrong, you should replace the coil in your clearomizer.

Burnt taste – Sometimes you might get a burnt or flavorless hit during a vaping session. If you’ve just refilled your clearomizer with e-liquid, make sure you let it sit for a few minutes to allow it to sink into the wick. If you can’t spare five minutes, you can drip the e-liquid directly onto the atomizer to immediately vaporize it.

Coils and cartridges don’t last forever, so you should make sure that everything is in working order – otherwise, it’s time for a replacement. Typically this is an issue with the coil in your clearomizer, but how you go about replacing the mechanics is dependent on your device. The life span of these parts is dependent on how frequently you use your e-cig, so especially if you’re an active user, be sure to know when to switch out your parts.

Leaking and gurgling sounds – If you’re hearing strange noises being emitted from your e-cig or liquid is leaking from the mouthpiece, you probably have a flooded cartridge. You might have overfilled the chamber, not tightened the clearomizer when screwing it back onto the battery, or the rubber seal between components could be broken. The best solution for this is to clean out your clearomizer and pour out the excess liquid.
